From Chelsea reject to Watkins 'upgrade' - Jackson makes fast Villa start

Nicolas Jackson's swift start to his Aston Villa career is turning heads, particularly after his match-winning double against Manchester City. The 22-year-old's performance is a significant boost for Villa, who are looking to make a strong impression this season. Jackson's rise to prominence is also a testament to his personal growth, having previously been rejected by Chelsea.

Jackson's ability to make an immediate impact at Villa is a welcome sign for the team, especially considering the high expectations surrounding the club this season. His partnership with Ollie Watkins, who he has been compared to, will be crucial in Villa's pursuit of success. The fact that Jackson has been able to 'upgrade' on Watkins, even if only temporarily, speaks to his potential and the threat he poses to opposing teams.

As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how Jackson continues to perform under pressure. With Manchester City being one of the top teams in the league, Jackson's display against them will undoubtedly have caught the attention of fans and pundits alike. To watch next: how Jackson and Watkins develop as a partnership, and whether Villa can maintain their momentum against upcoming opponents.
